Dentures in Mississauga

Dentures in Mississauga restore your smile, your bite and the shape of your face after tooth loss. They’re removable replacement teeth, and modern ones are lighter, more natural-looking and more comfortable than older styles. At River Run Dental Centre, we provide full and partial dentures, along with relines, repairs and implant-supported dentures that clip into place.
Our dentists design and fit your dentures, and handle any extractions or implants you need first. We’re open 7 days a week, including evenings and Sundays.
Benefits of Well-Fitted Dentures
Missing teeth make it harder to eat, speak clearly and smile with confidence. A well-fitted denture helps with all three.
Restores your smile and bite
Supports your lips and cheeks
Makes chewing and speaking easier
Custom-made for comfort and fit

How Dentures Are Made
New dentures usually take four or five appointments over a few weeks, so we can get the fit and the look right.
Exam and Impressions
We check your gums and remaining teeth, then take detailed impressions of your mouth.
Bite and Try-In
We record your bite, choose the tooth shape and shade, and you try a wax model before it's finished.
Fitting and Adjustments
We fit your final denture, show you how to care for it, and adjust it as your mouth settles.
New dentures take a few weeks to get used to. Speaking and eating feel different at first, and sore spots are common. We’ll see you for follow-up visits to adjust the fit, so there’s no need to put up with discomfort.

Dentures Cost in Mississauga
Dentures cost in Mississauga depends on the type: full or partial, standard or premium, immediate, or implant-supported. A full set replaces a whole arch, while a partial fills gaps and clips onto your natural teeth. Implant-supported options cost the most because the implants are part of the price. The average cost of dentures in Ontario varies from clinic to clinic. When you compare one dentures price with another, check whether follow-up adjustments are included, since denture fees don’t always cover them.
With insurance: most workplace plans cover dentures as major work, often once every few years. Relines and repairs are usually covered too.
Without insurance: you’ll know the full cost before we start. If you’re looking for cheap or affordable dentures, ask us to compare standard and premium options. A good fit usually saves money on repairs and relines later.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) covers complete and partial dentures, relines and repairs for eligible patients, within set limits.

Types of Dentures
The right denture depends on how many teeth you’re missing and how your gums and bone have changed.
- Full dentures: replace all the teeth on the upper or lower jaw, held by suction on the gums.
- Partial dentures: fill gaps when you still have some natural teeth, attached with small clasps.
- Immediate dentures: placed the same day your teeth are removed, so you’re never without teeth while you heal.
- Implant-supported dentures: clip onto two to four dental implants, so they don’t slip when you eat or talk.
- Flipper dentures: a light, temporary dental flipper that replaces one or two teeth while you wait for an implant or bridge.
Over time, your gums and bone change shape and dentures can loosen. A denture reline refits the base to your gums, usually every few years. We offer same-day relines for loose dentures, so call ahead and we’ll book the time. We also handle denture repair for cracks, broken teeth and loose clasps.
Dentures for Seniors and Adults
Most people who wear dentures are seniors, but adults of any age can need them after decay, gum disease or injury.
- Seniors: a new full set, relines when an old one has become loose, and implant-supported dentures for more stability.
- Adults: partial dentures to replace a few missing teeth, or a flipper while you wait for an implant.
- Before dentures: if any teeth need to come out first, our dentists handle the extractions, so everything is planned together.
Still deciding? Compare dentures with dental implants and dental bridges. To care for them, take them out and brush them every day, soak them overnight, and keep up with checkups so we can check your gums.
Living With New Dentures
The first few weeks are an adjustment period. Your mouth needs time to get used to something new, and small changes in fit are normal while your gums settle.
- Eating: start with soft food cut into small pieces and chew slowly on both sides. Leave sticky or very hard food until you feel confident.
- Speaking: some words may sound different at first. Reading aloud at home helps your tongue and cheeks adapt faster.
- Sore spots: mild tenderness is common early on. Don’t try to adjust the fit yourself; call us and we’ll ease the pressure point.
- Daily care: rinse after meals, brush with a soft brush and a non-abrasive cleaner (regular toothpaste can scratch), and keep them moist overnight so they hold their shape.
- Checkups: keep seeing us even with no natural teeth, so we can check your gums and the fit at regular hygiene visits.

Dentures in Mississauga: Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the type. Partials usually cost less than a full set, and implant-supported options cost the most because they include implants. We give you the full cost before we start, and most insurance plans and CDCP cover them.
Usually 5 to 10 years. Your gums and bone change over time, so most dentures need a reline every few years to keep fitting well.
Most people adjust within a few weeks. Start with soft food cut into small pieces, and read aloud to get used to speaking. We'll adjust any sore spots at your follow-up visits.
A reline reshapes the fitting surface of your denture to match your gums as they change. It makes a loose denture snug again without replacing it.
Most cracks, broken teeth and loose clasps can be repaired. Call us and bring the denture and any broken pieces. Don't try to glue it yourself, as that can make a proper repair harder.
A denturist is trained to design, make and fit dentures. A dentist diagnoses and treats teeth and gums, including extractions and implants. At our clinic, our dentists provide your dentures and any extractions or implants you need.
Most workplace plans cover dentures as major work, often once every few years. The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers complete and partial dentures, relines and repairs for eligible patients. We'll check your coverage first.
